Scope: – Resurfaced and relined car park
Solution: – Due to potholes and wear and tear, the defective surfaces were planed out to a depth of 40mm. It was then resurfaced using Stone Mastic Asphalt Wearing Course and relined with thermoplastic paint. Traffic Management was put in place to divert cars to the rear car park while work was underway, providing a safe site with no public crossing through it.

Scope: – Resurface access road in car park
Solution: – The residents of 19-21 Milverton Road, Giffnock required resurfacing work done on their access road and in the communal car park for the 26 flats. Woking closely with the Chair of the Residents Committee the works were carried out in an orderly fashion to minimise the disruption to the residents. The existing defective surface was planed off and reinstated with Stone Mastic Asphalt Wearing Course. The entrance was re-leveled to stop the flow of water from the street coming into the car park and creating flooding. Thermoplastic paint was then applied to form car parking spaces.

Scope: – Resurfacing potholes in the carpark aisle roads
Solution: – Extensive pedestrian and traffic management was put in place to ensure the safety of the public. The defective roads were planed out to a depth of 40mm and reinstated with Stone Mastic Asphalt Wearing Course. The work was carried out in phases to maximise the amount of parking bays available to the customers. Some defective concrete slabs were lifted and replaced to eliminate tripping hazards.

Date: – April, 2015
Scope: – To carry out patching of potholes on the road and resurface a footpath
Solution: – Due to wear and tear on the road, the defective areas were planed out and reinstated with Enriched Close Graded Bitumen Macadam Wearing Course. The footpath was overlaid with Enriched Close Graded Bitumen Macadam Wearing Course providing a new level footpath for pedestrians.

Site: – Forest Entrance, Tobermory
Date: – February, 2015
Scope: – Surface bellmouth for new forest access road
Solution: – As there was no existing surfaced access to the council road for forestry vehicles, a Dense Bitumen Macadam Binder Course and Enriched Close Graded Bitumen Macadam Wearing Course was laid, allowing heavy vehicles correct access to and from the forest. Close contact with the coating plant was paramount as lorries carrying the materials had to be shipped from Oban.

Solution: – As there was no existing surfaced access to the council road for forestry vehicles, a Dense Bitumen Macadam Binder Course and Enriched Close Graded Bitumen Macadam Wearing Course was laid, allowing heavy vehicles correct access to and from the forest.

Solution: – Due to wear and tear the existing defective wearing course was removed to a depth of 40mm. This was then resurfaced using Stone Mastic Asphalt Wearing Course and road marking carried out to create parking bays.

Solution: – Due to wear and tear the existing defective wearing course was removed to a depth of 40mm. This was then resurfaced using Stone Mastic Asphalt Wearing Course and road marking carried out to create parking bays and walkways.

Scope: – Create a new bellmouth for access to the forest
Solution: – As this was on a busy A Class road we installed a road closure with the use of traffic lights, signs and cones. The bellmouth surfacing was laid in three layers: – Road Base, Binder Course and Stone Mastic Asphalt Wearing Course to accommodate heavy vehicles.
